These are links to websites where you can find useful information for you to assist your Scout on their journey.

Scoutbook is our online Scouting management system. It tracks advancement, awards, and calendars.

ScoutShop.org is the online shopping site for the national Scout Shop. This is where you can buy uniforms, Scout handbooks, even hiking and camping equipment!

YPT (Youth Protection Training) is the course that the BSA has developed to help teach adult leaders and parents how to spot and prevent the abuse of our youth. It is required for anyone registering as a leader, and recommended for anyone who is involved in youth activities.

The Denver Area Council serves the Black Feather District as well as several others. They offer excellent resources for parents and Scouts including Colorado Adventure Point and Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch.

Discounts for Scouting Families

The BSA and local councils often have agreements with companies to provide services to members of the organization at discounted rates. Some companies offer discounts to all members of the BSA as a way to show support for Scouting. The links below are programs that are available to every member of Scouting, with instructions on how to participate.

Hiker Direct is a program that provides discount camping gear such as tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, and other great camping products to members of various scouting organizations in the United States. In order to purchase through Hiker Direct, you will need to create an account on their website.
